Nutrition professor. Hilda S. White, a native of Mercer, Pa., received a B.A. (1942) in Chemistry from Bethany College in West Virginia. She started graduate school at Iowa State University, but due to World War II, returned to Bethany and taught general and organic chemistry from 1943 until 1945. She completed her Ph.
